MultiLiLa final reports:  Full research report & Brief report with recommendations

The long research report presents the results of the four-year work conducted in India from May 2016 to April 2020 aiming to identify whether or not children who learn through the medium of a language which is not the same as their home languages have different levels of learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy than those children whose home and school languages are the same.  The findings include measures of language, literacy, numeracy and cognitive skills presented by site (Delhi, Hyderabad, Patna).  Based on the research findings, both the full and the brief report set out recommendations for policy makers, parents, teachers/teacher educators and other stakeholders committed to improving children's literacy, numeracy and cognitive skills across India.

The MultiLila project final reports include a brief report and the full report.
